  1. 1998

    Certification in the GCC begins

    Third-party certification of ISO standards begins in the GCC region under Vinçotte, the practice Viscount continues today.

  2. 2004

    The joint venture

    AIB Vinçotte Belgium and Al Mansoori ventured Specialized Engineering as Viscount International Middle East.

  3. 2015

    Established across MENA

    Reputed as a certification body in the Middle East and North Africa, issuing third-party certifications to government entities, multinationals and private firms across all sectors.

  4. 2016

    Viscount Quality Certifications formed

    A new certification body was formed under the Viscount Quality Certifications name.

  5. 2017

    EIAC accreditation

    Accredited by the Emirates International Accreditation Centre in December 2017 for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

  6. 2018

    ANAB accreditation

    Accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board in the United States for the same three standards.

  7. Today

    Serving all major industrial sectors

    Providing accredited ISO management system certification to organizations across the UAE, the GCC and beyond.

How we work

Viscount is a newer name than the practice behind it. The experienced and qualified professionals in the company have been providing certification services in the region since the venture began, and several clients we certify today have held certificates continuously since the early 2000s.

We assign auditors by sector experience. If you make ceramics, the person reviewing your process control has audited a kiln before. If you are a contractor, at least one audit happens on an active site while work is underway, because a head-office audit cannot verify that a permit-to-work system functions.

We audit in English and Arabic. ISO 45001 requires us to interview workers, so we staff audits to let non-managerial staff speak to an auditor in a language they are comfortable in.

We do not consult on management systems we certify. That costs us revenue, and occasionally the engagement, but our accreditation and the value of our certificates both rest on it.
